Radio Frequency identification enables wireless data exchanges between
an ((rfid))-Label and an ((rfid))-read/write unit based on 13.56-MHZ
technology.
To transmit data the unit emits an alternating magnetic field on the
natural frequency of the transponder’s oscillatory circuit. Alternating
effects of modulation and modulated damping of the field allow data to
be transmitted from the reader to the chip and data stored on the chip
to be retransmitted to the reader.
