Safe Contactless Payments in Passing.
Whether buying a movie ticket at the box office or a bus ticket over the counter: paying small amounts of cash in a hurry can be a nuisance.
Contactless payment is the magic word. By means of an RFID label specifically developed for cell phones, smaller amounts can be paid in passing via wireless data transmission. Similar to using card-based contactless payment or the chip-based payment facility of EC cards, the user need not enter any personal credit card data such as PINs into a terminal. This makes contactless cash payments anonymous and, therefore, particularly secure.
Of course the RFID label can be applied to other objects such as buttons, wallets, bracelets, etc. as well.
Instead of the user inserting a card in a slot or swiping it at a terminal, payment transactions using RFID labels are completely contactless.
Users charge the label at special terminals, say, in their local bank. The transponder label can be applied to existing cell phones, enables attractive designs, and is particularly secure and robust.
